Aniebiet Inyang Ntui is the Most Read Researcher in Nigeria and a Professor of Library and Information Science. She serving as the 5th Substantive University Librarian of the University of Calabar. She is the third woman in the history of the University to hold the position. She is a Fellow of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions and a United Nations Peace Ambassador.

Aniebiet holds a Bachelors Degree in Science Education (Botany) from the University of Cross River State, a Diploma in Computer Techniques and Applications from the University of Ibadan, a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Calabar, a Masters Degree in Library, Archival and Information Science from the University of Ibadan and a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of Uyo.

Career[]

Aniebiet is a Professor of Library and Information Science at the University of Calabar, where she has more than twenty years of experience in the lecture room and library. She has served as a Consultant of Information Management to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, United Nations Development Programme, and the World Bank. She is a recipient of the Nigerian Library Association Cross River State Chapter, 2020 Award of Excellence, and the 2021 Award of Honor for her contributions to the development of librarianship in Nigeria. In February 2022, she was appointed as the 5th Substantive University Librarian of the University of Calabar by the Governing Council of the institution.

In August 2022, She was named as the Most Read Researcher in Nigeria based on data made available by the Web of Science and the possible Minister for Education of the 2023 Nigerian Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi.

Aniebiet is an Associate of the University of the West of Scotland's Center for African Research on Enterprise and Economic Development and the University of Glasgow's UK-COP 26 Universities Climate Network.She is also a Fellow of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions and a United Nations Peace Ambassador.
