{{New Journal|journalname=Opentext Journal of Latin American Studies|description= The Journal (OJLAS: oh-jay-las) was created on the pages of the "academia.wikia" domain in September 2007 as part of an online structure of opentext (OCE or open collaborative editing) journals - for the purpose of "situating" the then new Opentext Journal of Peruvian Studies. An alternative name proposed for OJLAS was "Latin America and its Diaspora". The journals were launched at a joint meeting of the UK Parliament's All-Party Peru Group and the Peru Earthquake Aid Committee (responding to the needs of the 2007 earthquake).
