I'm A.R. Peters. I got a PhD in chemistry in 1992, and subsequently did clinical research in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and medical image analysis until 1999. Since 1994 I have been working with Linux, and I am one of the founders of the Linux certification organization "Linux Professional Institute" in 1999. Nowadays I work in business automation. I have a life-long interest in astronomy and more recently in calendrics. My interest in this Academia Wiki is to make some new or reworked material in these fields available on-line, that would not be published in scientific journals, but are also not fit for the Wikipeida either.
